Theobroma Grandiflorum Seed Butter is taken from the pulp of the fruit of the Cupuacu Tree.  This grows in the Amazonian Rain Forest in Northern Brazil where it has been used for centuries and is considered to be a "super moisturiser".  It has hydrophylic (water loving) properties nad can support up to 440% of its weight in water.  This means it can carry water in to the skin, hydrating and plumping the tissues and making it more soft, supple and pliable.  The butter is high in phytosterols, plant sterols which combat free radicals.  Beta-sitosterol is used to treat dermatitis and stimulate the healing process.
