SO WHAT'S SPECIAL ABOUT THE DERMAVIDUAL SKIN CARE RANGE?
1. The man behind it is Dr Hans Lautenschlager. He studied Chemistry and Physics at the University of Berlin before spending 13 years working in pharmaceutical research and development. He then spent 8 years overseeing the development of many innovative skin care products before setting up KOKO in 1998 to develop and produce Dermaviduals. Dr Hans has published over 600 scientific papers related to skin ingredients and skin care.
2. Dermaviduals is based on the principles of Corneotherapy which makes the repair and renewal of the barrier function of the skin a priority. It is preventative skin care that works from the outside in. Using the Dermavidual products improves the overall homeostasis of your skin so it functions like healthy skin and is less prone to problems such as Eczema, Acne, Psoriasis, Rosacea and other kinds of skin imbalances. There is a growing body of evidence that if you look after the Stratum Corneum (the top layer of the skin) the rest of the skin will take care of itself.
3.The products are based around skin identical ingredients. These are ingredients that match as closely as possible the lipids (oils) and natural moisturising factors that are naturally present in young, healthy skin. The products are made with a patented method of high pressure homogenisation that achieves a high emulation of the skin structure. When you use Dermaviduals you are placing products on to your skin that your skin can recognise, understand, accept and make use of to enhance its appearance, texture, function and feel. This is the start of healthy, happy skin.
4.The products are free from ingredients that can upset the skin and cause skin irritations - perfume/fragrance, silicones, colouring, petrochemicals, preservatives and, even more uniquely, emulsifiers.
5. The range includes a large number of Actives - skin boosting ingredients that can be included in Treatments and Home Care allowing for Treatments and Home Care to be truly bespoke.
6. These Actives come in enhanced delivery systems such as biodegradeable nanoparticles and liposomes which means that the Active ingredients can penetrate beyond the stratum corneum to reach the deeper layers of the epidermis. This means that emerging cells can be effected before reaching the skin's surface.
7. The daily mosituriser comes in a 50 ml airless pump dispenser as 44 mls of base cream. This allows for 6 mls of Actives to be added meaning that your Moisturiser is truly Bespoke and can be tailored very specifically for your skins needs and can be changed each time you need a new one as your skin changes.
8. Your skin can only be as healthy as the nourishment it receives. The cells in your skin are communicating all the time. Feed the cells with a different food and they will start to talk a different language. This is how skin care can change the way your skin behaves, looks, feels and functions.
