CM-Glucan is a water soluble, beta glucan, polysaccharide, derivived from b glucan.  This is taken from the cell walls of baker's yeast and then modified in a chemical process called carboxymethylation.  
Regular application of CM-Glucan Complex helps the skin to respond better to environmental stresses as it stimulates immune competent cells within the skin to defend itself from bacteria, UV light, allergens and air pollution.  As well as acting as an anti irritant it restores the skins moisture barrier, helping sensitive skin to feel calm, hydrated and protected.
CM-glucan will also promote the growth of keratinocytes which are the main cells within the skin so it enhances the renewal rate of the stratum corneum (the surface of the skin) and improves skin firmness and accelerates skin recovery and wound healing.  Overall it is a treatment for any skin sending out an SOS call for help.
